Blair Seifert — known as StarCat — is a Southern California-based DJ and sound curator with over a decade of experience designing atmosphere across hospitality, private events, nightlife, and community gatherings. Her sets are built around a single principle: the right music for the right moment — whether that's a sun-drenched pool deck, a fashion brand opening, an after-hours dance floor, or a ceremonial ecstatic dance.

Born in South Korea and raised in the Philadelphia area, Blair came up in one of the most fertile house and techno scenes in the country — the late nineties and early 2000s Philly underground laid the foundation for everything that followed. Based now in the California desert, she brings a rare range to every booking. Her roots run deep through San Francisco's underground — residencies at The Basement and Q Bar, a co-founded record label (Vudeux Records), and years of programming across LA's most respected venues including Pattern Bar, The Lash, and the legendary Viper Room. She curates for Heavy Hits record pool and founded the Dub Club collective, which continues as a desert institution and is a contributing DJ to the Desert Groove Collective.

Her festival and event credits span some of the desert's most distinctive and adventurous stages — multiple sets at the Bombay Beach Biennale in 2023 and 2026, Joshua Tree Music Festival and Dust & Decibels in 2025, as well as Mini-burns, Eco-burn, and multiple Burning Man decompression events. On the hospitality and retail side, she has played the Thompson Hotel in Palm Springs and works with SOS Entertainment on brand activations for clients including Guess and Windsor.

What sets StarCat apart is her commitment to collaboration. For private and corporate clients, she works directly with you to understand the event's energy, guest profile, and intention — then builds a set that feels inevitable.

When the brief calls for a party, StarCat delivers one. Event promoters book her because she gets people dancing — particularly the ladies, and when the women feel safe enough to let go, everyone follows. Her club and party sets are known for their bass-heavy drive and spacey, hypnotic transitions — a set that builds and takes you on a journey, holds people longer than they planned to stay, and sends them home sweaty and satisfied.
